Soul Power Part 9
The soul is curious about love and healing, whereas the ego is involved in its personal story.
Unlike the ego, the soul is not attached to a story about itself. Instead, it‘s focused on its mysterious journey into wholeness. That journey takes us to personal growth and the spiritual betterment of others. It is a journey of concern and action in the individual, family, church, temple, mosque, community, state, nation, and globe.
Our soul’s primary intention is to restore the harmony lost when we disconnect from our true nature. Therefore, in every relationship and circumstance, the soul fosters harmony, healing, wholeness and love. Divine love paves the way to our spiritual restoration. But the obstacles to healing and wholeness challenge the soul to grow. On the other hand, for the ego, its obstacles are anything that alters and disturbs its story about how life should go.
In soulality, we shift from being a character in our ego’s story to being a channel for divine love. As channels, we are intentionally receptive to divine power and when it rushes in, we are one with it. Then we respond to life’s situations from a place beyond our mind and heart - a place of divine harmony that always existed in us but had been forgotten.
When we shift from ego to our soulality, the ego hangs onto its agenda. It doesn’t want to lose control of our lives, so it gets angry, sad, or anxious. Those emotions are its ploy to keep things from shifting to soul. However, once the ego gives up and surrenders to the soul, the process of amalgamation of ego and soul begins. Amalgamation prevents the ego from resisting the soul because the process joins ego and soul as servant and leader.
Spiritual practice: What is an issue, relationship, or circumstance that troubles you? It may not have enough harmony, healing, or wholeness. Instead of hanging onto your problematic issue, try letting it go: just close your eyes and imagine your problem as a ball about the size of a volleyball. Feel the life force within your body, mind, and heart. Now with all your might, sock that ball into the universe and watch it disappear into the abyss. Divine love rushes in and replaces this problem. Honestly, can you feel a shift?
Dear God,
As I see my concerns sail into the abyss, I realize that they nor my thoughts about them are me. I pray to be the channel you created me to be, and in that state of being, I pray for healing and wholeness for us all. Amen.
