Soul Power Part 6

People often ask, "What are some examples of soul qualities?" Of course, we already know these qualities, but oftentimes their names are so familiar that we do not recognize that they are soul qualities. In other words, we frequently can't see the forest for the trees.

However, by looking at these nine fruits of the spirit with new eyes, we realize they are indeed soul qualities. Without them, love could not rule our lives. These nine fruits manifest love itself. In Galatians 5:22-23, the fruits are listed. I list them again in correspondence with the nine soul energies depicted on The Enneagram of Soul.

Love: Soul Type Nine's love is the mother of all the fruits of the spirit and is the mother of all other soul qualities.

Joy: Soul Type Seven has deep joy daily, even during times of uncertainty, sorrow and fear.

Peace: Soul Type Three accomplishes for the good of all in peacefulness, not in a frenzy to accomplish.

Patience: Soul Type One is patient with oneself and others because, in Holy Perfection, we are all works in progress, not perfect finished products.

Kindness: Soul Type Two values, above all, the milk of human kindness.

Goodness: Soul Type Five channels divine wisdom for the purpose of manifesting divine goodness.

Faithfulness: Soul Type Six is a bastion of faith and trust.

Gentleness: Soul Type Four reaches out with gentleness toward all life, especially the marginalized, excluded, abused, neglected and disseminated.

Self-control: Soul Type Eight directs its superpower in measured ways to manifest divine will.

All soul types can interchangeably be associated with any of the nine fruits of the spirit. However, the list above contains examples of how each soul type's energy corresponds to a particular fruit of the spirit. It is noteworthy that the Christian fruits of the spirit are revered qualities in every major religion. First, we locate our soul type by identifying our ego type; then, we go against the arrow that points to our ego type. At that arrow's end are our soul type and particular fruit of the spirit.

Spiritual practice: Are you able to see how each of the fruits of the spirit manifest in you?

Self-inquiry: Do you identify with the fruit of the spirit that most corresponds to your soul type?

Dear God,

Thank you that spiritual fruits come alive when we live in our souls. Amen.
