What is Mine to Do? Part 7

What is mine to do—when the world feels loud, divided, and uncertain?

Not everything. Not what belongs to others. Just what is mine.

It is mine to stay connected to my purpose.

It is mine to embody my soul child.

It is mine to first assume the best about someone, instead of the worst.

It is mine to help whenever I can, even in small ways no one knows about.

It is mine to welcome the stranger and make room for the new person.

It is mine to care—truly care—about the well-being of those in my life.

It is mine to apologize when I have, in any way, hurt another.

It is mine to ask, sincerely, “How are you?” and to listen for the real answer.

It is mine to contribute to the betterment of the world every day in some way, even if it is in a small way.

It is mine to be honest about what I believe, even when it costs me.

It is mine to honor others, simply because they are human.

It is mine to reach out to those who feel left out, debilitated, forgotten, or alone.

It is mine to love, even those who oppose me.

It is mine to extend grace and to forgive, again and again.

It is mine to make peace where there has been distance or division.

It is mine to notice children, to smile at them, to let them know they are seen and valued.

It is mine to pray—truly pray—for those who are struggling.

It is mine to carry in my heart those who are grieving or in pain.

It is mine to weep when grief rises, and not to hide from it.

It is mine to tell someone when they have inspired me.

It is mine to do what I can, with all my heart, to leave this world gentler because I was here.

It is mine to sit with another’s sorrow and offer comfort without trying to fix anything.

It is mine to search honestly for healing—within myself and alongside others.

It is mine to forgive myself when I fall short, and to begin again.

It is mine to encourage others when they need lifting up.

It is mine to ask for grace when I need it.

It is mine to speak truth when a boundary must be drawn.

It is mine to serve—to care for what has been entrusted to me, including the hearts of others.

It is mine to share my story, if it can bring light to someone else’s path.

It is mine to recognize the ego and the soul and to know where I am coming from.

It is mine to forgive myself and try again and again when I fail to do what is mine to do.

This and much more is mine to do. Not perfectly. Not all at once. But faithfully—one moment, one choice, one act of love at a time.

Prayer:

Dear God, I pray wholeheartedly to know what is mine to do, and to have the inspiration, love, and courage to do it. Amen
