Obstacles Part 6
There are fixed laws that run the universe. These laws govern the sun, moon, tides, weather, and the cells of our body. No human being has ever altered these laws. They are the gears of the cosmos that were set in motion at the beginning and will continue infinitely. There are also spiritual laws that underlie the universe. These laws are based on the Law of Love.
All our goals are either in alignment with these laws, or they run counter to them. Therefore, for our goals to unfold in divine order, they must align with universal law. In light of this, any obstacle standing in the way of a goal aligned with universal law will be temporary, for nothing can stop the wheels of the universe’s unfolding as it should.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (“Retribution” Poetic Aphorisms, 1846) translated this truth which has been echoed by other philosophers as well.
“Though the wheels of God grind slowly, they grind exceedingly small.”
Our timing is not necessarily divine timing. Our sequencing does not always follow divine sequencing. Only when our ego’s order is aligned with Divine Order, do we move in Holy Law.

Self-inquiry: What part of me may not believe that laws underlie the universe?
Prayer: Dear God, Align me with your purpose. And when I encounter obstacles, help me understand that in the long run, they are temporary when I am aligned with you. Amen.
