The Power of Healing

There is a private ritual for healing relationships with those who have passed away or those who are alive but can’t be contacted. The ritual involves writing a letter to the person. Of course, the letter can’t be delivered in actuality, but writing it releases the sentiments. 

In our own words, the letter says the following:

1. Thank you for what you gave to me. 
2. Please forgive me. 
3. I forgive you. 
4. I give our relationship to God for its healing. 

We may add to each of the four statements as extensively as we wish. But all four ideas need to be covered. 

Once we write the letter, it is a sacred communication that does not need a stamp or mailbox. 

The next step is to take the letter to a holy spot where we burn it, and the earth reclaims its ashes. It goes directly to the heart and soul of the one intended to receive it.  

Many people receive a sign that the letter has been “delivered.” 

Inquiry: Why would you not believe such a letter would heal you? 

Dear God, 

I give you thanks and praise for making a way where there seems to be no way.

Amen.
